The Next God Of War Game Won’t Take Another 5 Years To Develop

God of War 2018

The next God of War game is still a ways off but the wait won’t be nearly as long as expected. Before the soft reboot of the series, with PS4’s God of War, the last released game in the franchise was God of War: Ascension. Ascension, a prequel that received generally positive reviews, released in 2013. This makes it five years since the series has seen a mainline entry, not counting the PS4 remake of God of War 3 that released in 2015.

The next entry in the franchise is still something full of mystery, even given the ominous ending tease of God of ...

Donald Trump Movie The Apprentice In Development

Donald Trump Hollywood

A movie about Donald Trump titled The Apprentice is currently in development. Borrowing the title from the reality show Trump himself produced, American author Gabriel Sherman will pen the screenplay.

Just over a year into his presidency, US President Donald Trump will be the focus of a feature length movie based on his journey to the White House, beginning with the earliest moments of his career. Trump won the presidential election on November 8, 2016, edging out his running mate Hillary Clinton. Now, Vanity Fair’s special correspondent Gabriel Sherman has been tasked with writing a screenplay based on the President’s rise to power, with significant focus aimed at specific individuals who helped influence Trump, including attorney Roy Cohn. Gidden Media’s Amy Baer will produce.

Ryan Reynolds Never Saw The Finished Green Lantern Movie

Green Lantern Ryan Reynolds Movie

Ryan Reynolds admits he never watched the final cut of his 2011 vehicle, Green Lantern. Years before the actor got his passion project, Deadpool, off the ground and launched a highly successful franchise in the X-Men film universe, Reynolds attempted to lead a series for Warner Bros. and DC Entertainment when he played Hal Jordan in the Green Lantern movie. Unfortunately, the film was an unmitigated critical and commercial disaster, earning just $219.8 million worldwide against a $200 million production budget. Any chance for sequels went out the window, and WB decided to launch the DC Extended Universe with Zack Snyder’s Man of Steel instead.

DC is launching a digital service later this year, now officially titled DC Universe, and is bulking up its library.

Infinity War Star Don Cheadle Performs Avengers Freestyle Rap

Don Cheadle on the Late Late Show with James Corden

While promoting Avengers: Infinity War, Don Cheadle, who plays Colonel James “Rhodey” Rhodes/War Machine, performed a freestyle rap in honor of the MCU. The performance was originally an unaired segment for The Late Late Show with James Corden, but has since surfaced.

Ever since his first appearance in Iron Man, Rhodey (originally played by Terrence Howard, before Cheadle took over the role in Iron Man 2) has been a loyal Avenger. Starting off as more of a sidekick to Tony Stark in the first two phases, Rhodey eventually came into his own by Captain America: Civil War, playing a significant role in helping keep the team in check, while also offering some highly regarded artillery services. One of the most enjoyable things about shonen style anime is that they run for such a long time and are able to tell such an expansive story. It’s an issue packed with the usual dark and emotionally raw moments, but that doesn’t mean that writer Cecil Castellucci can’t find the time to take a stab at the new America President Donald Trump has helped form.

In the past two issues of Shade The Changing Woman (the new title to replace Shade The Changing Girl), Shade has been dealing with the fallout from the crossover event between DC and Young ...

The Handmaid’s Tale Season 3 Officially Ordered By Hulu

the handmaids tale offred

Blessed be the fruit and may the Lord open; the grim and dystopian The Handmaid’s Tale was renewed for season 3 on Hulu. The series, based on a book by Margaret Atwood, depicts a future United States that becomes a male-dominated theocracy called Gilead that limits women to certain roles: mainly wives and handmaids, though there are other roles like Marthas and Aunts. For those wives who cannot have children (something that became a problem for families in this version of America), the fertile handmaids must mate with those wives’ husbands in an effort to create children.

The handmaids are essentially the slaves of the household, and even give up their names to take ...

New Solo: A Star Wars Story TV Spot Confirms PG-13 Rating

The latest TV spot for Solo: A Star Wars Story assembles the band of criminals who will rob the Conveyex and makes the unsurprising confirmation the film is rated PG-13. Due to The Last Jedi playing in theaters, Lucasfilm waited until early February to begin marketing their latest tentpole. While some fans were concerned about the perceived delay, the studio has spent the past few months generating excitement with a very visible promotional campaign. In addition to two trailers, there’s been a bevy of TV ads that showcase new footage and highlight fun character dynamics.

While Alden Ehrenreich’s young Han is the star of Solo, marketing has gone a long way in selling the movie as an ensemble piece, making Tobias Beckett’s “putting together a crew” line a centerpiece. The gang has already been spotlighted in multiple collections of character posters, and ...

10 Years Later: Iron Man’s Most Important Moment Wasn’t Nick Fury

Iron Man changed the superhero genre back in 2008, but as we near Avengers: Infinity War and the end of the path Tony Stark started, it’s about time we looked back and assessed the ending’s unshakable influence: no, not the Nick Fury post-credits scene, rather the way “I am Iron Man” destroyed the secret identity trope.

Ten years on, it’s easy to forget the impact of Iron Man. We live in a world where Tony Stark is as iconic a hero as Bruce Wayne or Peter Parker, Robert Downey, Jr. is one of the biggest names in cinema, and the Marvel ...

Ryan Reynolds Doubts Deadpool 3 Will Happen; X-Force Is Future

Ryan Reynolds doubts Deadpool 3 is going to happen, but says X-Force is likely the future. Reynolds spent years tirelessly developing Deadpool and only got the movie made after test footage leaked online. The wait was well worth it for all parties involved. Deadpool was a critical hit and crushed it at the box office. The performance gave Fox plenty of confidence to go all-in on their foul-mouthed anti-hero, getting Deadpool 2 moving and much more.

The sequel arrives in just a few weeks, but it continues to look more like a X-Force prequel than a true Deadpool sequel. Cable (Josh Brolin) and Domino (Zazie Beetz) were the biggest announcements, but the ...

Hulu’s Castle Rock Trailer Reveals Summer Premiere Date

Castle Rock

Hulu‘s newest Castle Rock trailer reveals a summer release date for the spooky series from Stephen King and J.J. Abrams. Starting with 1979’s The Dead Zone, the fictional town of Castle Rock has provided the setting for a number of Stephen King horror novels. King’s Cujo, The Dark Half and Needful Things all take place in the town, as does his short story The Body, which served as the basis for the classic film Stand By Me.

Now, the mythology of Castle Rock gets a deeper treatment thanks to Hulu’s horror series, produced by J.J. Abrams. Castle Rock centers on Henry Deaver (Andre Holland), an attorney who returns to the haunted Maine town to represent a prisoner (played by IT actor Bill Skarsgård) locked up in King’s favorite fictional prison, Shawshank. As you would expect from a series based on King’s ...

WARNING: This article contains SPOILERS for Action Comics Special #1

Superman is burning his Justice League friends and Lex Luthor too, but not with his heat vision – as Clark Kent hosts the White House Correspondents’ Dinner in DC’s Universe. It’s all in good fun, though Lex Luthor isn’t taking the good-natured ribbing nearly as well as the costumed crime-fighters in attendance.

For those who may be unfamiliar until this week (thanks to both DC and the real version), the White House Correspondents’ Dinner is a tradition that dates back to 1921. Established in order to encourage friendly relations between Washington politicians and those journalists assigned to the White House ...

Xbox Duke controller classic

Gaming fans can now head back to 2001 as the classic Xbox “Duke” controller returns to shelves, but this time, it’s for the Xbox One.

Originally bundled with the Xbox in all territories except Japan, the hefty Duke became synonymous with the first generation of Microsoft’s best-selling console. Usurped by the smaller Xbox Controller S, the Duke was eventually phased out to make way for the more streamlined Xbox 360 controller and went out of fashion thanks to its incompatibility. Escape Plan 2 Opens in UK Theaters This Summer

Escape Plan - Sylvester Stallone

After a long period of silence, Escape Plan 2: Hades is set to open in UK cinemas this summer. The original Escape Plan featured the long-awaited pairing of former action movie rivals Sylvester Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenegger. The two had briefly appeared together in The Expendables franchise, but Escape Plan marked their first feature-length collaboration. The end result was an enjoyable – if somewhat forgettable – buddy comedy that gets by mostly on the chemistry of the two stars.

While the movie wasn’t a blockbuster, it became a solid hit overseas, and a sequel dubbed Escape Plan 2: Hades was soon put into development. Little is known about ...

Infinity War’s Real Soul Stone Was Better Than All The Theories

Avengers Infinity War Soul Stone Theories

The Soul Stone was the biggest mystery going into Avengers: Infinity War, and while what Marvel had in store the last known Infinity Stone was definitely not what was expected, it was exactly what was needed.

The basic premise of Infinity War was that it was going to bring together all the disparate threads of the MCU, chiefly the Infinity Stones which had been MacGuffins across the previous eighteen movies: the Space Stone in Captain America: The First Avenger and The Avengers (with a return in Thor: Ragnarok); the Reality Stone in Thor: The Dark World; the Power Stone in Guardians of the ...

Zoe Saldana Addresses James Cameron’s Superheroes Criticism

Zoe Saldana weighed in on James Cameron’s latest comments criticizing the superhero genre. Last month, the veteran filmmaker specifically called out the Avengers and the Guardians of the Galaxy for their “hyper-gonadal males without families doing death-defying things for two hours and wrecking cities in the process,” adding that he hopes that the fascination with superhero films soon die down. As expected, it has caused countless online debates, some chastising the director for his words, while others see his point.

Saldana is particularly at a tough spot regarding Cameron’s negative view of the superhero genre as she’s both a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe playing the team’s femme fatale Gamora in ...
