The Frieza saga of Dragon Ball Z ended with the ultimate battle between the intergalactic tyrant himself and Goku, who had transformed into a Super Saiyan – a legendary form thought to be lost to history. This was easily one of the most important and game-changing moments in Dragon Ball history, but as time went on, the Super Saiyan form became less and less important, both because stronger forms came out and because even a few non-Saiyans began to surpass the so-called “legendary” form.
